What to do first
Redeem the five Update 2 codes before spending saved currency. PAYLOAD and UPDATE2 give Aether Marks for the event shop; MOONWITCH and NECROMANCER give Normal and Lucky Spins for the Class Summon pool. These are separate progression routes, so Aether Marks will not help you summon the two Celestial classes.
Payload and Aether Marks
Payload is the headline mode. It starts from the airship dock, takes place on Floating Aisles, requires player level 40 or higher, and ends with the boss Torus. Runs award Aether Marks, a new currency that is separate from Mage Coins and Aspect Gems.
The Payload Event Shop includes Affix Seals, Skyfarer Cache, Tempest Vault, Reforge Stones, Aspect Gems, titles, gear and the new Fae class. Current coverage lists Fae at 7,500 Aether Marks.
Four new classes
- Fae — Exotic physical class from the Payload Event Shop. Its planted-dagger kit combines protected movement with kill-based cooldown reduction.
- Moon Witch — Celestial magic class from Class Summons. It brings a large pull, Dodge movement and a shield equal to 15% of max HP.
- Necromancer — Celestial magic class from Class Summons. It raises defeated enemies, empowers or detonates them, and can heal nearby players.
- Crescent Blade — confirmed as part of the Update 2 class set, but its exact rarity and acquisition details are still inconsistently documented, so we are leaving those fields unsettled.
Forge affix locks
Update 2 adds a way to lock an affix before rerolling gear, letting you preserve a desirable stat instead of risking the entire roll. Payload's shop sells Affix Seals and reforge materials, making the new mode part of the gear-progression loop rather than only a class grind.
Balance changes
Current reporting describes nerfs to Asta (Anti Magic) and Toji (Unrestricted) through lower damage and longer cooldowns. Hellfiend, Embertide and Dragoon received faster skill animations and higher damage. Exact numeric changes have not been published consistently, so older damage comparisons should be retested in a fresh run rather than treated as current benchmarks.
