How to Get and Use Aspect Gems in Dungeon Lootr

Aspect Gems guarantee a random aspect for your equipped class: where gems drop, the per-gem odds for each aspect, how to use them without wasting the roll, and what destroys an equipped aspect.

Aspect Gems are the guaranteed route to aspects: consuming one always yields a random aspect, attached to the class you have equipped at that moment. Spins can also attach aspects (~21.5% of spins do), but a gem removes the randomness of whether you get one — not which one.

How to get Aspect Gems

  • Mystery Merchant (Update 1.5) — a rotating vendor that stocks Aspect Gems among other goods. The merchant refreshes roughly every 2 hours.
  • Event shops — during the Magic Unleashed event, the Raid Shop sold 5 gems per day. Future events are the most likely repeat source.
  • Challenge Dungeon milestone — the floor-250 milestone pays 35 Aspect Gems at once. Deep wave runs double as gem farming.
  • Codes — occasionally. LOVETHISGAME (10x Aspect Gems) was still listed as working in mid-September reports; check the codes page for the current list.

All gem-per-aspect odds below are community-reported — ClickBytes has never published official numbers.

Your odds per gem

The aspect pool has two weight groups. Dividing each aspect's spin share by the 21.5% total gives the per-gem chance:

| Group | Aspects | Chance per gem | | --- | --- | --- | | Common | Blaze, Sanguine, Fulmin, Verdant, Aegis, Phantom, Glaciel, Umbral | ≈11.63% each | | Rare | Ruin, Alacrity, Tempest | ≈4.65% each |

Caveats worth knowing:

  • Gamezebo's own gem article misfiles Umbral into the 4.65% group, which breaks the table's arithmetic — the strength table's grouping (shown above) is the self-consistent one.
  • One wiki warns Alacrity may have been renamed or removed from the current pool.
  • At ~4.65% per gem, expecting a specific rare-group aspect takes ~21 gems on average — and probability never guarantees it. The Drop Rate Calculator works for gems exactly like drops.

How to use a gem without wasting it

  1. Equip the class you want the aspect on first. The gem's result binds to your currently equipped class — this is the single most expensive mistake to make.
  2. Don't hold gems for a class you're about to evolve. Class evolution (e.g. Azure Devil → Awakened Devil EX) destroys the equipped aspect. Wait until after the evolution, then use the gem.
  3. Match the aspect to the content you run: Ruin for solo bossing, Fulmin/Tempest for wave clear, Sanguine while learning dangerous content. The aspect tier list shows where sources agree and disagree.

Quick reference

  • Aspects never drop from bosses — gems and spins are the only routes.
  • Owning multiple aspects lets you switch; only the equipped one matters in combat.
  • Spin-attached aspects follow the same per-aspect odds as gems, just gated behind the 21.5% "an aspect at all" roll.
